Artist Statement

​

I am a Peruvian artist currently residing in Yorkshire, UK. My childhood fascination with the realism in the works of Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo has remained with me throughout my artistic journey.

​

Drawing people has always been a source of inspiration for me, as it allows me to delve into the complex question of what defines our individuality. Through my art, I strive to capture not only the physical likeness of my subjects but also their unique personalities, creating a moment frozen in time that will last beyond our lifetimes.

​

My ultimate goal is to create artwork that resonates with viewers on both a visual and emotional level. As Claude Monet once stated, "We all look at the same things, yet see different things." It is my hope that my drawings will offer viewers a new perspective on the world around them and a deeper understanding of the human experience.
